Dr Manuel Renz has been working in Asset Management at Zürcher Kantonalbank since 2022 as a global ESG integrated equity analyst. He is responsible for the area of consumer discretionary goods and consumer staples. His research focuses on sustainable mobility in the automotive industry, the latest consumer trends, in particular in fashion and other consumer discretionary goods, as well as biodiversity aspects at food and beverage manufacturers.
Before joining Zürcher Kantonalbank, Dr Manuel Renz worked for DEKRA SE for three years as Investment Manager Corporate M&A. His area of responsibility included the analysis of business plans and the preparation of company assessments as well as market and competition analyses. From 2014 to 2019, he obtained his doctorate from the University of Stuttgart on the topic of "Sustainable investment strategies for the custody account A business (own business) of savings banks and regional banks" as part of a project series funded by the savings banks and the Deutsche Sparkassen Bank und Giroverband (DSGV).
Dr Manuel Renz holds a Master of Science in international business/finance from Maastricht University and a Bachelor of Science in international business administration from the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management. Manuel Renz has been a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder since 2017.
